Purchasing Assistant

Leddy Group is looking for Purchasing Assistant in Dover, NH.

Responsibilities of the Purchasing Assistant:

  • Understand and enforce the policies and guidelines regarding the ethical conduct of purchasing activities

  • Provide salespeople with information (cost and availability) on goods and service to help them effectively service their clients

  • Build and maintain good business vendor relationships and seek out new or alternate vendors as required

  • Continually seek out new sources and/or competitive pricing. Aggressively work to minimize cost and negotiate cost-effective purchases

  • Manage any necessary outsourcing, private label programs, contact printing and off-shore manufacturing

  • Work with Accounts Payable to insure that invoices are being received from vendors and that product is being properly accepted in to inventory.

  • Any other duties assigned by upper management

Qualifications of the Purchasing Assistant

  • Basic MS Office/computer literacy/internet skills

  • Previous experience with ERP System

  • Oral and Written Communication Skills

  • Phone Etiquette

  • Reading Skills

  • Time Management

  • Math Aptitude

  • Organization

  • Time Management

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly

  • Diplomacy

Pay rate is $12.00/hour.
